This statement explains the cookies this site uses.

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use salt.works. It sets two cookies in your browser, named _ga and _ga_ followed by this site's measurement ID. They record a randomly generated identifier so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several. They expire two years after your last visit. We set nothing else, and we do not fingerprint your device.

Aggregate figures: which pages are read, roughly where in the world readers are, and which sites link to us. We do not use it to build profiles of individuals, and we do not run advertising or social media tracking pixels. We host our own fonts rather than loading them from a third party.

You can refuse these cookies with your browser settings or Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and the site will work exactly the same. Data collected by Google Analytics is handled under Google's own privacy policy.

If you submit the "Stay Informed" form, your details go to Brevo, our mailing list provider, so we can send you the emails you asked for. That happens only when you press Submit — not when you simply read the page. What Brevo does with cookies on its own pages is covered by its own policy. The studio logos on our home page link to those studios' own websites, which set their own cookies. Their statements apply once you leave this site.
